Gabriel Lorca was a Starfleet Captain in the mid-23rd century,[1] and he commanded the U.S.S. Buran NCC-1422.[2] In 2256, during the early weeks of the Klingon War,[2] Lorca took part in the Operation Riposte: the liberation of Priors World from Klingon forces led by Aakar of House Mo'Kai.[3] Although Aakar was captured, he soon escaped from custody[4] and returned to exact his revenge upon Lorca and the Buran. During the battle that followed,[5] Lorca was unexpectedly replaced by his counterpart from another reality.[6] Lorca's fate after this point remains unknown.
