House T'Kuvma was a Klingon House that briefly rose to prominence in 2256. Led by T'Kuvma, the house was not one of the 24 Great Houses.[1] House T'Kuvma instigated the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-2257 in a bid to reunite the Houses, which were warring among themselves at the time.[2] Though the gambit worked initially, the Houses soon began to squabble amongst themselves once more,[3] and used the war not to unify the Klingon Empire but to continue their internecine conflicts, using the spoils taken against Federation targets to one-up their rivals.[4] House T'Kuvma was absorbed into House Kor six months into the war.[3]
