The Imperial Klingon Ship Targ was a B'rel class Bird of Prey in service to House B'vat. In 2409, the Targ, commanded by Captain D'Tang, was captured by Starfleet forces, with the loss of all hands during the boarding action. The Targ was used to sneak a Starfleet team onto the surface of Imaga II in order to disable a dampening field that would have disabled any incoming ships, then took a decisive part in a battle against a Doomsday Machine that B'vat had hoped to place under his control. When the battle ended, the Targ was returned to Klingon custody at the insistence of K'men, the head of Klingon Intelligence.[1]
