Jankom Pog was an adolescent Tellarite who had spent much — if not all — of his life enslaved on Tars Lamora by The Diviner. He was a talented engineer, and repaired equipment and vehicles in the prison colony. When Dal R'El, Rok-Tahk, and Zero discovered the derelict U.S.S. Protostar NX-76884, they sought out Pog to help repair the vessel in order to affect their escape.[1] Though he was Tellarite, Pog had no knowledge of the United Federation of Planets, which suggested that he had been enslaved by The Diviner since he was very young.[2] Pog's right forearm was replaced with a cybernetic implant, which could transform from a replacement hand into various tools that he used to conduct repairs; he was particularly fond of a hammer, which he used to conduct "percussive maintenance."[1]
