Birds-of-Prey were small, fast, and filled a variety of roles for the Klingon Empire. They could be used as scouts, raiders, or patrol ships. The Ki'tang class was named in honor of the I.K.S. Ki'tang, the only vessel from the Battle of Chin'toka that was not affected by the Breen energy-dampening weapon.
