Ki'tang class (STO)

Birds-of-Prey were small, fast, and filled a variety of roles for the Klingon Empire. They could be used as scouts, raiders, or patrol ships. The Ki'tang class was named in honor of the I.K.S. Ki'tang, the only vessel from the Battle of Chin'toka that was not affected by the Breen energy-dampening weapon. The class featured a battle cloaking device, which could more rapidly cloak the ship than a standard cloaking device, including during combat. They were vulnerable when cloaked, but their speed and maneuverability made them hard to hit. The class mounted three forward-facing and two aft-facing weapons emplacements.[1]
