The Federation Starship Alexander was a Larson class destroyer. Commissioned in June 2253, the Alexander was was refit to the Larson class Mark II specifications in June 2256, giving it more powerful phasers and an additional torpedo launcher. December 2270 saw another refit, this time to the Mark VI configuration; in March 2275, the Alexander was given a final refit to the Mark VII configuration. By June 2281, the Alexander was still in active service.[1]
