Larson class[1]

The Federation Starship Thelenth, commissioned in April 2246, was a Larson class destroyer. Although Larson class vessels were named for military leaders and battles of Terran origin, the Thelenth was the sole exception. The ship was named for the Andorian Admiral Thelenth, who defeated the Klingons in a pitched battle at Donovan's Star at the cost of his own ship and crew.[1]

In June 2256, the Thelenth was refit to the Mark II configuration, giving the ship more powerful phasers and an additional photon torpedo launcher. In February 2270, the ship was refit once again, this time to the Mark VI configuration, giving it a more powerful impulse drive system, improved phasers, and more efficient shield generators. March 2273 saw a final refit, to the Mark VII configuration, which featured the new style warp drive nacelles and a more powerful impulse drive system, which increased the overall power output by 25%.[1]
