Ensign David[1] Garrovick was assigned as a security officer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2209. On Stardate 3619.2, the ship encountered the dikironium cloud creature, which in 2198 had killed 200 members of the crew of the U.S.S. Farragut NCC-1647, including his father, who was the ship's commanding officer.[2]
