- Beta Orionis system, the "true" Rigel
- Beta Rigel system, named by Earth astronomers for its apparent proximity to Beta Orionis ("Star Trek: Star Charts")
There are several planets in the Rigel systems.
The five planets in the Beta Rigel system also make up the political bloc called the United Rigel Colonies, which is in turn a member of the United Federation of Planets. ("Star Trek: Star Charts")
