Starfleet Ensign Th'Pev served aboard the Cardenas class U.S.S. Buran NCC-1422 as an assault team specialist in 2256, specializing in close combat, automatic weapons, and squad support.[1] In his home town on Andoria, Th'Pev was a two-time ushaan champion, and considered the ushaan-tor to be a match against a Klingon bat'leth. He was married, with two wives and a husband and a child on the way.[2]
Th'Pev faces off with Klingons (STO: "Impossibility of Reason")
When a group of Klingon prisoners of war were transferred from the Buran to Facility 2047 in the Mandel system, Th'Pev was chosen to support the security team due to his expertise; he helped fight off a Klingon raiding force led by J'Ula that ultimately rescued the Klingon prisoners.[1] Chasing the Klingons back to Priors World, they arrived only to see the Buran destroyed in an intentional warp core breach, with Captain Gabriel Lorca the only survivor, after it was attacked by the escaped Aakar and his forces. When their shuttle was forced to crash on a moon of the fifth planet in the Priors system, Th'Pev was killed while defending the rest of the crash survivors from a pursuing Klingon raiding party.[2]
