The Federation Starship Daring was a Miranda class vessel; in April 2275, the Daring underwent a major refit. The Daring was transferred to Starfleet Training Command in October 2279.[3]
Although the "Federation Ship Recognition Manual"[3] listed the pre- and post-refit Daring as Anton and Reliant classes, respectively, the class name was later established on film and in other media as Miranda class.
