2130
- The United Earth Republic is born.[1] The head of state of the United Earth was the office of the President of the United Earth Republic,[2] while the head of the government was the Prime Minister.[3] The new nation will continue to grow, until Australia, the last remaining independent country, joins in 2150.[4]
2135
- Vulcan Year 8737 (ENT: "Kobayashi Maru," Chapter 3 Flashback)
2138
- Lieutenant Charles "Trip" Tucker III begins working on the Daedalus project under Professor Victor Brodesser and Captain Monique Duvall.[5]
2139
- The starship Daedalus is launched, testing an experimental ion drive warp engine designed by Professor Victor Brodesser in competition with the Warp Five engine designed for the NX class by Henry Archer. Daedalus, commanded by Captain Monique Duvall, is destroyed upon launch when the ion drive is activated, killing all aboard, including Brodesser.[5] The class is refit with a standard warp drive, however, (possibly the Warp Two capable engine successfully tested by A.G. Robinson and Jonathan Archer in 2140[6]) and enters into service with the Earth Starfleet,[2] and the class remains in active service until 2196,[7] although a few ships remain in service into the 23rd century, including the U.S.S. Nimrod[8] and U.S.S. Lovell NCC-470.[9]
