- ↑ Although the Federation Ship Recognition Manual establishes that the Excalibur was scrapped on Reference Stardate 2/2003, this date conflicts with the Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Sourcebook Update, which established that the Excalibur found the lost Republic on Reference Stardate 2/2304. To resolve this conflict, the date that the ship was scrapped was adjusted to Reference Stardate 2/2403, about a year after that incident and another year before the Excelsior class U.S.S. Excalibur was commissioned.
