Crewman Darnell served in the sciences division aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2207. On Stardate 1513.1, he encountered the M-113 creature, which telepathically induced him into seeing the image of a woman he had met on Wrigley's Pleasure Planet instead of its true form. It lured him away from the rest of the Enterprise landing party, and killed him when it extracted all of the salt from his body.[1]
