Lieutenant Vincent[1] DeSalle served as a navigator on the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, and was of French ancestry.[2] On Stardate 3417.3, DeSalle was part of the initial landing party at Omicron Ceti III, investigating a colony that somehow survived years of exposure to Berthold radiation.[3] He was later promoted to assistant chief engineer.[4] Lt. DeSalle sometimes commanded the bridge, such as when Captain Kirk's landing party went missing on Pyris VII.[4]
