The Lenthal class destroyer, an Andorian design, entered service in February 2270, and was manufactured at the Salazaar shipyards at a rate of 18 per year. Of the 311 Lenthals built by June 2281, 161 Mark IIs and 98 Mark Vs remained in service, with 10 Mark IIs in reserve fleets; two Mark IIs had been transferred to Starfleet Training Command; 22 Mark IIs and 10 Mark Vs had been destroyed; two Mark IIs were listed as missing; two Mark IIs and two Mark Vs had been scrapped; and two Mark IIs had been demilitarized and sold to civiian commercial interests.
