Ensign Skavrin was a member of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers and was assigned to a joint mining operation at Edren IV between the United Federation of Planets and the Gorn Hegemony in 2270. When the operation was threatened by violence instigated by Romulan agents, Skavrin joined with a team from the U.S.S. Pioneer NCC-1500 to help end the conflict. When the situation was resolved, Skavrin joined the crew of the Pioneer.[1]
