The official language of the United Federation of Planets, Galacta is a regularized, somewhat restructured form of the Human language known as English. Galacta is taught as a second language almost everywhere in the Federation. Among Human cultures, it has often been adopted as the primary language. Many Klingons, particularly Klingon/Human Fusions in active military service, also speak Galacta as a second language.[1]
