System L-370 had seven planets when it was surveyed by the United Federation of Planets in 2266. A year later, just before Stardate 4202.1, all the planets in the system were destroyed by an extragalactic Doomsday Machine as it passed through the region. The damage to the system was likened to the aftermath of a nova, but the system's star remained intact.[1]
