The Federation Starship Devastator was a Miranda class vessel; in September 2274, the Devastator underwent a major refit to Mark I of the Reliant-type specifications. In July 2277, the Devastator was refit once again, to the Mark II specifications.[3]
Although the "Federation Ship Recognition Manual"[3] listed the pre- and post-refit Devastator as Anton and Reliant classes, respectively, the class name was later established on film and in other media as Miranda class.
