The Federation Starship Bradbury was the lead vessel of the Bradbury class.[1] Upon his acceptance to Starfleet Academy in 2366, Wesley Crusher was scheduled for transport aboard the Bradbury from the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D to Earth, but Crusher missed the transport while assisting in the rescue of Ambassador Lwaxana Troi, Commander William Riker, and Counselor Deanna Troi from a Ferengi ship.[2] Shortly afterward, the Bradbury underwent warp drive performance tests.[1] Named for twentieth-century science fiction and fantasy author Ray Bradbury.[3]
