Perhaps best known for creating the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes,[1] Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was also reportedly an ancestor of Spock, who quoted his maxim, "Whenever you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."[2]
