The Hydran Kingdoms' Cataphract class commando cruiser, a variant of the Lancer class destroyer, was commissioned circa 2288. The Cataphract class was intended to rupport planetary assaults with landing forces, and carried two Stinger class fighters.
The class featured a crew complement of 370 — including 180 Marines housed in four barracks — a capacity of ten shuttlecraft, and was equipped with three science labs, four transporters, and two tractor beam emitters. The class was armed with four banks of Type-2 phasers and two banks of Type-G Gatling phasers.[1]
