The Federation Starship Vesta was the lead vessel of the Vesta class multi-mission surveillance explorer. The Vesta, commanded by Captain Ezri Dax, was originally designed as a testbed ship for the experimental quantum slipstream drive.[1] In 2409, the Vesta departed from Earth Spacedock, where it was admired by Cadet Elisa Flores, who hoped to be assigned to a ship like it someday.[2]
