The Federation Starship Kirk[1] was an Exeter class cruiser in service in the early 25th century. In 2409, the Kirk was part of a task force dispatched to P'Jem to prevent the escape of an Undine infiltrator — who had been disguised as Vulcan Ambassador Sokketh — after he was exposed by another Starfleet vessel's crew.[2]
