The Constitution class Starship Excalibur was commissioned in August 2276. On Stardate 8087.3, the Excalibur, under the command of Captain Preye discovered the U.S.S. Republic NCC-1371, lost for fifteen years in the Styx Rift.[2] In March 2278, the Excalibur suffered irreparable damage and was scrapped.[3]
