The parable of the "good Samaritan" originated in the Christian Bible on Earth.[1] On Stardate 2817.6, Lenore Karidian invoked the story when she appealed to Captain Kirk to provide transportation for the Karidian Company of Players from Planet Q to Benecia Colony after the S.S. Astral Queen failed to pick them up. Kirk, however, had arranged for the Astral Queen to miss their appointment, as he suspected her father, Anton Karidian, of secretly being the infamous Kodos the Executioner.[2]
