  3. Although the Orleans is noted as having tested prototype phasers in 2256, this conflicts with the Larson-class U.S.S. Orleans being commissioned in 2252. As Star Trek: Discovery established that phasers were in relatively widespread use throughout Starfleet in 2256, it is easily conceivable that this testing could have occurred at an earlier date. The date has been omitted from this entry to resolve this conflict.
