STO Timeline
(Star Trek Online MMORPG)

Aakar was a special operations soldier and a member of House Mo'Kai. He was captured at Priors World in 2256 by the U.S.S. Buran NCC-1422.[1]

He and the other prisoners of war attempted to escape when the ship was attacked by reinforcements from House Mo'Kai, but the escape attempt was thwarted by Captain Gabriel Lorca and his crew, as well as another captain from another ship that had recently arrived in the system. Aakar and the other prisoners were transferred via that ship to Facility 2047, a classified Federation prison for dangerous and high-profile prisoners, but it also soon fell prey to a computer virus that had been imbedded in the prisoners' DNA and which infected the computer systems when medical scans were performed. Aakar was rescued when J'Ula arrived at the facility, leading a raiding party.[2]

Aakar returned almost immediately to Priors World to exact his revenge upon Lorca and the Buran. During the battle, when the ship became overwhelmed and was about to be captured, the ship self-destructed, killing the entire crew as well as the Klingon boarding parties, though Lorca managed to escape moments before the ship's destruction and was rescued by a nearby starship with four other Buran crewmembers already aboard. A single Bird of Prey pursued the shuttlecraft carrying Lorca to a nearby starbase for medical treatment, forcing it to crash on the unnamed Class P moon, Priors Vd. Akaar followed them to the surface, and three more of the survivors were killed. Lorca and his first officer, Commander Ellen Landry, who had escorted him to Facility 2047, were rescued from the surface by Starfleet forces, leaving them the sole survivors of the Buran.[3]
