- Surak proposes a philosophy of logic and reason, (TOS 77) and records his philosophy in the Kir'Shara. (ENT 84) A group of Vulcans opposed to Surak's reforms, referred to as "those who march beneath the raptor's wings," engage in a series of wars, resulting in radioactive fallout that claims Surak's life at Mount Seleya. Ultimately, those opposed to the reforms choose to leave the planet, in search of a new home. (ENT 85)
