- RSD 1/6003.04 (4 March): A Rickenbacker class cargo ship, the U.S.S. Flying Fortress, carrying a prototype deflector shield, is crippled and captured by a Klingon vessel in the largest spacejacking to date. The Klingons' cunning plan is initially successful, but soon fails because of the ship's automatic distress alarm. A Federation task force intercepts the hijacked vessel as it is being towed away, forcing the Klingons to release their tractor beam and flee, while the badly damaged Flying Fortress is recovered.[1][2][3]
