Solar class (FASA)

The Solar class cutter was first brought into service on Reference Stardate 1/9805 (May 2198). Of the 1,297 vessels constructed by Reference Stardate 2/2306 (June 2223), 144 Mark IIIs and 524 Mark VIs remained in active service, with 196 Mark Is and 42 Mark IIIs in reserve fleets; 24 Mark IIIs and 24 Mark VIs were in use by Star Fleet Training Command; 79 Mark Is, 48 Mark IIIs, and 46 Mark VIs were destroyed; two Mark Is, one Mark III, and three Mark VIs were listed as missing; 16 Mark Is, 14 Mark IIIs, and 14 Mark VIs were scrapped; and 81 Mark Is, 29 Mark IIIs, and 10 Mark VIs were sold to civilian interests. The Solar class was produced at the Salazaar and Alpha Centauri shipyards at a combined rate of 26 per year.[1]
