2060s (FASA)
From Trekipedia
Reference Stardate 0/6001 through 0/6912
2060
- RSD 0/60: The U.N.S.S. Powell, equipped with warp drive, journeys to Alpha Centauri and is hailed as a remarkable achievement.[1][2]
- RSD 0/60: The Industrial Space Ark concept is proposed as a potential boon to the space economy.[1]
- RSD 0/60: The Long class space barge is commissioned. Using an advanced fusion drive, the class carries a complement of nine and will remain in service until 2101.[1]
- RSD 0/60: The Saratoga class cargo carrier is removed from service.[1]
2061
- RSD 0/61: The return of the U.N.S.S. Powell brings Zefram Cochrane to Earth. He is accorded all the pomp and pageantry any native Earth hero would receive.[1][2]
- RSD 0/61: Solar Spacelanes has special tourist flights to view Comet Halley close up.[1]
2062
- RSD 0/62: Trade between Earth and Alpha Centauri begins in earnest with the first warp drive ships.[1]
January
- RSD 0/6201: The Fundamental Declaration of the Martian Colonies grants every inhabited region in the Sol system local autonomy over their own affairs.[1][3] It is used as a precedent-setting document for worlds wanting to declare governmental autonomy.[4]
- RSD 0/6201: Zefram Cochrane disappears.[3]
2063
- RSD 0/63: A cultural exchange begins between Earth and Alpha Centauri. The ties of friendship and cooperation continue to strengthen.[1][2]
2064
July
Franklin series probe (FASA 2011)
- RSD 06407: The Franklin series warp drive message probe becomes operational. These small, unmanned probes have rudimentary astrogational equipment, and are capable of carrying a cargo of up to 0.1 ton in addition to several hundred recorded messages. These probes are later refitted with modern warp drives and used for the next three decades. A total of 380 are built.[4]
October
- RSD 0/6410: Rapid improvements in warp drive technology result in the launch of the advanced Verne class cruiser, which boasts a crew complement of 112. It is noteworthy as the first warp-capable class equipped with launch tubes and thermonuclear hydrogen-fusion torpedoes. The class will see 120 built, and will remain in service until 2095. Also commissioned this year is the Amity class shuttle, which carries 6 people and uses an advanced fusion drive.[1][4]
2065
July
- RSD 0/6507.19 through 0/6509 (19 July through September): While on an exploratory mission, the U.N.S.S. Bonaventure discovers Axanar, and a contact team led by Ensign Colin Fortine meets with its intelligent, but non-spacefaring, humanoid race. The discovery of this race further substantiates Hodgkins' Law of Parallel Planet Development, now indisputably accepted as valid.[4][5]
November
- RSD 0/6511.12 (12 November): First contact occurs with the Vulcans when a Franklin series probe encounters a Vulcan colony world. Vulcan has already developed the warp drive, and Vulcan techniques substatially improve the original design.[3][4] Shortly thereafter, a disabled starship from the planet Vulcan is rescued by the Solar Fleet. After a brief stay at Earth, the grateful crew returns to their home planet and diplomatic relations begin.[1]
2066
February
- RSD 0/6602: The U.N.S.S. Bonaventure, en route to Tau Ceti on its third mission, is unaccountably lost.[1][2]
2067
2068
July
- RSD 0/6807: The first Vulcan delegation is welcomed on Earth as serious discussions of an interstellar alliance between Earth, Vulcan, and Alpha Centauri begin.[1][4]
2069
July
- RSD 0/6907: Humans celebrate the centennial of the first moon landing at a museum built on the site of the historic event.[1]
