Achernar class

The Achernar class cruisers became operational on Stardate 2252.09 (September 2252). A very successful design, 68 Achernar class vessels were built, and the class saw extensive combat during the Four Years War. Following the war, nearly all were destroyed in weapons testing as part of Starfleet's post-war demilitarization program.[1]
