The Epsilon class cutter was first brought into service in April 2269. Of the 805 vessels constructed by June 2281, 363 Mark Is and 266 Mark IIs remained in active service, with 16 Mark Is and 8 Mark IIs in reserve fleets; four Mark Is and two Mark IIs were in use by Starfleet Training Command; 87 Mark Is and 41 Mark IIs were destroyed; four Mark Is disappeared along the Triangle border, and two Mark Is disappeared along the rimward frontier; two Mark Is and four Mark IIs were scrapped; and six Mark Is were sold to civilian interests. The Epsilon class was produced at the Morena, Salazaar, and Merak shipyard at a combined rate of 18 per year.[1]
