The Hale class scouts became operational on Reference Stardate 1/7703 (March 2177).[1] Cheap to produce, 130 Hale class vessels were built, and the class saw extensive service in the early months of the Four Years War. The class was withdrawn from service on Reference Stardate 1/9501 (January 2195), however, after it performed unsatisfactorily in combat. They were succeeded by hastily-refit Bode class scouts.[2]
