Rok-Tahk was a young Brikar girl. She spent nearly her entire life enslaved on Tars Lamora, where she mined chimerium for The Diviner. She and Dal R'El were paired together in the mines when they discovered a derelict Starfleet ship, the U.S.S. Protostar NX-76884, which they and several others used to escape.[1] The only food she could remember having ever eaten was nutrigoop, and when presented with a virtually-inexhaustible set of options for food from the Protostar's replicator, she instead chose to have the food that she was familiar with.[2] Rok-Tahk was extremly optimistic and friendly,[1] but was aware of the affect that her intimidating appearance had on others, and secretly wished to find someone who would like her in spite of her appearance.[3] She was particularly intrigued by the concept of equality afforded to all people in the United Federation of Planets.[2]
