The Federation Starship Myrmidon was a Pioneer class frigate commanded by Captain Daugherty in 2270. That year, the ship was overrun by neural parasites that came aboard from Deep Space Station K-13. The Myrmidon attacked the U.S.S. Pioneer NCC-1500 when it came to investigate the loss of contact with the station, but the Myrmidon was disabled in the engagement.[1]
