Vulcan, a Class M world,[2][3] was the second planet in the 40 Eridani trinary system, orbiting 40 Eridani A.[3] Although Vulcan had no moon,[4] the planet shared an orbit with its sister world, T’Khut.[5]
On Stardate 2258.42, Vulcan was destroyed by Nero when he used Red Matter to create an artificial singularity near the planet’s core, causing Vulcan to implode in a matter of minutes, killing billions of Vulcans.[1]
