The medical scanner in sickbay aboard Constitution class vessels featured a wide array of readouts for information about a patient. On Stardate 1329.1, an odd malfunction of the medical scanner was an early clue to the fact that the wiving settlers being transported by Harry Mudd were taking the narcotic Venus drug.[1]
