A party was an informal social gathering, typically involving drinks and conversation. The physics lab held a Christmas party in 2266, and Captain James T. Kirk and Lieutenant Helen Noel were both in attendance.[1] Thomas Leighton held a cocktail party at his home on Planet Q on Stardate 2817.6.[2]
