A genre of speculative fiction, science fiction often dealt with topics involving advanced technologies and scientific concepts. Examples of science fiction works included The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.[1] Isaac Asimov was an incredibly influential science fiction author from Earth's twentieth century. Jean-Luc Picard admitted that he was not enamored of science fiction, and that he had difficulty understanding its appeal.[2]
