Smuggling was the illegal transportation of objects, substances, information or people.[1] Harry Mudd was suspected of smuggling, among multiple other charges, when he was detained by Captain Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 on Stardate 1329.1. He had previously been convicted of smuggling, but the sentence had been suspended.[2]
