An alcoholic beverage made from the fermentation of grapes or other sweet fruits. Champagne was a type of sparkling white wine produced in the Champagne region of France on Earth, and was traditionally used during the launching ceremonies of naval ships. Dom Perignon and Chateau Picard were both wineries located in France. The Dellri, a Klingon subject race, devoted 80% of their chief crop, Qala fruit, to wine production.
