The Federation Starship Magellan was a Constellation class cruiser,[1][2] launched on Reference Stardate 2/6312 (December 2326).[3] On Stardate 46682.4, the Magellan, commanded by Captain Conklin, put in at the Remmler Array for a routine Baryon Sweep.[4] The Magellan's service life ended some time prior to Stardate 51244, and the name was passed on to the Galaxy class U.S.S. Magellan NCC-71820.[5]
