Alpha Canaris system (Worlds of the Federation)
Alpha Canaris was a system of five planets orbiting a moderate-sized yellow star.[1] The two outer worlds, Alpha IV and V, were gas giants that slowly revolved around each other as they orbited Alpha. The first and second planets were uninhabitable. Alpha I was barren of atmosphere and geologically dead, while the second planet was essentially a volcanic cauldron with a poisonous atmosphere.[4] The third planet, Alpha III,[3] was Class L and a member of the United Federation of Planets. This system featured an asteroid belt between the first and second planets and another between the third and fourth worlds.[4]
