Canopus class (FASA)

The Canopus class research cruiser[1] entered service on Reference Stardate 1/9206 (June 2192),[2] with the launch of the U.S.S. Canopus, providing extensive scientific facilities in support of exploratory missions in the Federation's Sagittarian arm.[1] A total of 22 were built, and while the class served during the Four Years War, it did not actively participate in the conflict.[2]
