- RSD 1/4212.31 (31 December): Over Orion protests, the Federation Uniform Mercantile Code (FUMC) becomes law, forcing Botchok and the Orion Colonies to comply or face prosecution. The Rigellians successfully claim exemption on the basis of time-tested tradition.[1]
