Lieutenant Latimer was assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 in 2267. On Stardate 2821.5, Latimer was tapped as the co-pilot aboard the Shuttlecraft Galileo NCC-1701/7 during a scientific survey expedition at the Murasaki 312 quasar-like phenomenon. An unexpected ion storm caused the shuttle to crash on Taurus II, near the heart of Murasaki 312, and Latimer was killed by the Taureans soon after.[1]
